ABOUT THE ADARE MOTORSPORTS FRIDAY AT THE TRACK PROGRAM

Friday At The Track (FATT) is an open lapping program run by Adare Motorsports one Friday per month at Spokane County Raceway. The track is hot from 9AM to 4PM.

Experienced track drivers can sign up for FATT and drive their car on track. Participants with little, or no prior track driving experience are welcome to sign up for our certification program, where the day is spent with an instructor in the car, teaching the basics of high per formance driving. Advanced driving instruction is also available for part and whole-day learning.

AMS Car Rentals

A BMW E30 track car (novices OK) &  Pro-3 race cars (no novices) are available for rent on a first come, first served basis.  Please contact Scott Adare via email for more detailed information.  Pricing info available through motorsportreg.com.

The Track

Spokane County Raceway is a 2.5 mile road course. It consists of the longest straight in the Northwest, some challenging medium-speed corners with elevation change, and some tight technical segments. The pavement is very smooth, and consistent, making it a great facility for lapping or learning. Among drivers, SCR is routinely ranked a favorite. The track surface is also great in the wet.

To get to SCR:
Take the US 2 exit from I-90, and travel 4 miles west to the first traffic light at Hayford Road. Turn right on Hayford, and go 1.2 miles, straight through one traffic light, and past the Northern Quest Casino. Turn left into the Spokane County Raceway entrance. Follow the entrance road nearly 1/2 mile, as it winds around to the pit area. Be careful entering, as you will cross the track surface to get to the paddock.

The Instructors

Scott Adare has been teaching high performance driving since 1997. An experienced sportscar racer, Scott has a passion for teaching people to drive through establishing fundamentals, then developing the ability to execute those skills ever-faster. Scott has taught at every track on the west coast from Willow Springs in Southern California to Race City in Calgary. Scott is a Senior Instructor for Proformance Racing School at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. He has developed and taught Instructor training and development programs for schools in Seattle, California, & Alberta, Canada.

Scott's race coaching credentials include the 2007 Pro3 champion in ICSCC, the winners of the 2007 Eight Hours of the Cascades, and transitioning a teen driver from karting to winning his 3rd race in Formula Renault.

Steve Cassell is AMS' Senior Instructor. Steve founded the BMW CCA High Performance Driving School in Spokane in 1997. His teaching and driver development skills are renowned throughout the Northwest, and he often serves as a guest instructor at schools throughout the region. Steve is a successful sportscar racer with several championships to his credit. His own racecar has often been a platform for driver development, where we have helped enthusiastic FATT participants make the progression from lapping to racing.
